据国新办就四川汶川地震灾害和抗震救灾情况举行的第七次发布会消息，据统计，截至5月19日12时，中国四川汶川8级地震已造成34073人遇难，245108人受伤。
据卫生部报告，受伤住院治疗人数累计52934人，已出院7979人，在医院里死亡3304人。
据中国地震局报告，截至19日13时，共监测到4级以上余震155次，其中5级以上24次，6级以上4次。
民政部报告，截至19日13时，全国共接受社会各界捐赠款物108.34亿元，其中捐款89.27亿元，物资折款19.09亿元。
国务院新闻办公室5月19日下午4时在国务院新闻办新闻发布厅举行新闻发布会，请工业和信息化部副部长奚国华、电监会首席工程师顾峻源介绍抗震救灾的通信保障、设备工具保障情况和救灾保电情况，并答记者问。
